Do you know anything about Scared of Beautiful?

I don't know anthing about straight up beatitful or whatever :/
didn't that song end up being a frank ocean demo that leaked or something??
|
when u say it has dubstep influence you mean a random dubstep breakdown? or the whole instrumental is dubstep-ish?
Quote:
Uhm. The whole intsturmental has a dubstep vibe I guess - but there's a more true~ dubstep moment in the bridge. That part isn't just a instrumental breakdown either, she sings over it.
like i said - dubstep-YYY. it's not a dubstep song. it's a island song with dubstep influence/undertones.
Fun Fact: she says the n word in the song
|
can u tell us how long it is?
Quote:
just under 3:20
& there's no guitar solo on this track....although there's always the possibility they added it, but that'd fit really odd i think.

'Fun fact: she says the n word in the song'
EXPLICIT VERSION!
(I don't know why I'm so hyped about this. )
So I'm liking that it has dubstep vibes. I would like a full-blown dubstep track on the album, but this is still a good sign.
Although 3.20 is kinda short. I'm sure I will have it on rihpeat for hours on end.

Today we got promo pics for the album, along with the video. Tomorrow's video will most likely be picking the tracklist, and we shall get the tracklist, too. The pics were probably to build up hype for the album again so everyone was ready for the tracklist.
...that's what I'm telling myself, anyway.

I can't believe Rihanna cancelled the show again yesterday. I was so lucky that I had tickets to the night before when she actually performed. She was sooo good! So much energy, I can't understand how she could be like that if she had been/was sick.
A lot of the Swedish fans are pissed and there's a lot of bad press right now. Most papers are saying that she partied too much, and that she doesn't care about her fans. It's too bad because the review of her show was pretty good (Swedish reviews are almost never good) but now everybody's just gonna remember this.

What was your favourite song/performance?
As I stated in a post up the top of the page, Rihanna did this to herself. She got the green light to make something she really wanted to make, and she pushed herself too hard to have it released ASAP, even amongst the touring. It benefits us with new music, but hopefully Rihanna can learn that she can't push herself so much, she's got to pace herself. We're lucky she lasted for early 2010 to almost the end of 2011 (her LGOE Tour + recording Loud + Loud Tour + recording Talk That Talk).

It was a bit confusing because my favorite parts were actually not my favorite songs I really liked Unfaithful, it was so powerful. And I liked Hard, Skin and Let Me (and I don't even like Skin och Let Me that much). Also the encore with Love the way you love and Umbrella was great.
My favorite songs are probably Rude Boy, Only Girl and S&M and while I was happy to hear the songs live they didn't really leave any impression.
And yeah her work schedule seems crazy. She should and need to rest. But then again she always comes out with great singles and albums so you kinda don't want her top stop either.

yes, it was the same for me when i saw her early this year. my favourite songs weren't my favourite performances. my faves are what's my name, rude boy, only girl but they weren't as good as the stand out performances. i actually didn't like "Hard" that much but she always kills it live. same with the ballads, Hate That I Love You and Unfaithful.
i'm glad you enjoyed yourself

Was just looking at the MTV Movie Awards 2007 when she performed Umbrella and was just starting her big breakout moment, not only did she become the it girl or 07/08 she took herself through the harder times and expanded and now is an international pop star who didn't let a Pon De Replay or Umbrella overshadow her. Her career is just phenomenal. 11 #1's, renown global star and just musically, creatively and personality she's grown into something IMO (NOTE IMO) I find outstanding. Hands down my favourite female artist in the world.

guys, rihlax... we will get it soon! The fact that she's still perfecting it is a good thing, I mean as long as it isn't finished, at least it can't leak

She already finished the album, but she needs to send the album to her label so they can listen to it first!!

Oh okay. Well everything will be fine, I think if anyone would be pressing to postpone the release, it would be Rih herself because the labelheads want to get as big a bite of the holiday season as they can and they are not gonna push this back, NO chance. And if Rih has finished it, it's a done deal. nothing to worry about

I'll buy a standard and deluxe but only would have gotten the deluxe if it was the same cover as the standard. And don't worry, Drake released his tracklist 15 days before album release date. The tracklist should be revealed next week.

Really, she isn't. Her head label is Def Jam Recordings, then SRP Records which is run by the two guys who discovered her and Roc Nation is just management... for now.
I'd like to see her shift to Roc Nation, just because Def Jam has a lot of faults and Rihanna is really at a point in her career where she'd be strong anywhere, she has the determination, the status/power and the intelligence of knowing what is and what isn't good for her. The label is no longer a driving force in her success. If she signs to Roc Nation it will really propel the label, she'd be the first major act (aside Jay-Z) and the undisputed Queen of the label. I really don't think leaving Def Jam would hurt her career in the slightest. Jay-Z left, L.A Reid left, there's not much left for her there. Interscope can keep GaGa, Rihanna's star is shining bright as ****.
