I know Rihanna has always been a failure in translating single success to album sales, but sooo many artists are having that problem. Look at Gavin @ #99 and WTF @ Jordin Sparks getting no album sales boosts from "One Step At A Time," while old crappy albums with just one single like Amy Winehouse is still selling. - _ -

Madonna doesn't seem to be wanting to promote the album, so I doubt she cares that the album is flopping in the US. Of course, if she really does feel angry that the album is flopping, which I doubt, then it is her own fault for not doing much promotion.

I agree. I don't know why she released GI2M here in the US for the second single. She should have released it outside the US, and released a more US-friendly song for the second single here. Again, Miles Away is the album's only hope of keeping sales steady.

That's another reason why sales are low. The young people would rather download 4 Minutes than actually get the album.
