Since the KL era, I am happy with whatever we get, I can see her ending her career with 4 proper studio albums, a greatest hits, one other PCD album and a greatest hits and some random albums like a cover album

I wouldn't mind that as well.. And she should at least release in US. I don't get Interscope.. Look @ Mindless Behavior. Their singles mostly chart on R&B BB Chart and misses the Hot 100 and their albums get release. In Nicole's case, it seems weird.. Or do they spend a certain amount on different artists? Coz it confusing AF.

For some reason they always pull all plugs if a single underperforms in the US with Nicole's solo music, which is odd. Since they spent probably millions on the producers, writers, videos etc. It would be easy to atleast earn some money back through a release. You can't tell me that releasing nothing is favourable money wise instead of making money of stuff with a release, even limited to a digital format.

Also if an album is out, it is much easier to choose singles and that is a main problem since the HNIN era. And that is also her never ending studio curse. She keeps recording and recording and at the end she delivers for the fans, but shifted a lot of material, that easily could have been succesful.

I wish Interscope would have puppeted her a bit more. I know Nicole is an amazing artist, but she never found the basis to launch properly on, on a big scale. And a succesful but a bit mindless era, could have brought so many more on the table back in 2007 then the path she has now. PCD was puppeted and guided to a big extend, and she benefited from that. She now wanders between her own dreams and what is "hot". She wants to be a credible artist, but also get the easy radio hits. I wonder if she ever thinks about either going completely going her way, or going completely mainstream again. Since this compromise she has business wise, seems to get confusing. On her part, on Interscope's part and also on the fans part, since they also have no idea what to expect or worship.

the thing is her material sucks. i mean they're average, she hasnt really released something that sounds like a worldwide hit cause she doesnt have the ear for it. the only song that i liked during the first listen was DHYB.

bad material + bad management = nicole.

It's a shame Boomerang didn't live up to most of Killer Love's material. I heard it on one a pop CD my sister bought on the way to the car and I can see why radio's didn't play it

J-esper.. You killed that post . Nicole wants too different things which contradicts and it sets her back.. As Henry said before, I also think she's contented with who she is as a pop star. I think now she on a "Let me just release for my fans" kinda tip..

I co-sign with this fully.. I also liked DHYB at a first listen(When speaking of singles) and WUL. Her material is not up to par yet. And I honestly think 'Pretty' would've done the trick in securing her that hit. I don't know why people are like "Its a mid-tempo, it wouldn't have done her justice"

... Everyone loved that song just from the performance.. And guess what? It wasn't finished when she performed it. LOL.. I just wish I could get into her head and figure out what she's thinking.. It frustrated me, coz in the end, we are the ones who defend her from hate speech of other people..

I disagree. Killer Love as a whole is a good album and Right There was a likeable single. With radio support it could have done well, but she's old and no one's really interested in her here.

And yeah, I don't understand why Interscope didn't bother releasing her albums in the US. Who cares if it flops? There are so many people who flop harder. It's not like they have to spend much money (any?) to put it on iTunes.

gurl its not really ****. i didnt mean it that way, what i was trying to say is her material isnt the type that would get people interested in her. theyre subpar compared to the globally successful group she was part of.
PCD spawned hits after hits, almost all of their songs were hits because they sounded like hits.

I know what you mean, especially previously what you said about booms not sounding like a nicole type song. my main issue is with the lack of promo and her management when pcd was so successful like you said and now nicole is not getting shone the spotlight which she deserves. and we know there are some ultimate slayers that she has/is keeping unreleased and this fustrates me cos i just want new music sooooo badddd

Killer Love is just a "good for the moment" album, the album lacks personality. I was praising it like heaven when it came out. But it is no album that a random casual listener keeps listening in 5 years. A

I wish Nicole would release her inner PCD into her solo music for atleast 3 songs. songs as Buttons and Jai Ho are not in comparison to any of the other pop girls songs of the last years. It set them apart and Nicole was the voice of those songs. She shoudl embrace that niece, instead of bouncing the bandwagons.

Just look at someone as Beyoncé, whatever you think of her as person, you know that she keeps her core with her, if we talk about performing and her music as a whole. Nicole still has her way of performing with her, but her core if we talk about music is like swining to every corner of the music business. This is maybe also a reason why she never built up a solid fanbase. People don't know what to expect, beside the pushbacks, she goes like 360, with every step she takes.

That is why I am worried for this era as a whole. will.i.am is like an awful example he has postponed #willpower as much as Nicole HNIN. He also has made random single choices.

That is certainly support. You have to realise that they only released it to pop formats but ddin't do much with urban and Rythm, two platforms that Right There could have benefited from and could have crossed over lol It was a nice start and the first time she got proper support in the us.
