The Lost time is good in terms of lyrics and production-wise great, but his voice overpowers hers so much and her voice's so shaky in that song. It sounds like she's struggling to access her head voice while trying to maintain resonance

I Almost Did (Make A Good Song)'s lyrics are so cliched, the production is totally uninventive and ballad-generic and she also seems to be struggling vocally in that one too. Everything Has Changed is actually good, nothing special though. imo.

I'm the only one who doesn't like it in this base If IAD was in some other basic pop girl's discography, it might be one this gurl's gems. But in comparison to the other gems in Taylor Swift's discography, it's really basic.

Yes, I know the songs I mentioned helped make Red what it is and helped set the tone of the album, but that doesn't mean that a few of them don't stand out.

For a song to be good, it doesn't have to top another one, it just has to be good on it's own. IAD's lyrics and Taylor's delivery are very honest and the production is great.

There was/is a hate bandwagon for poor sacRED too.

Most say its because the lyrics arent good but many critics praised it as one of the better songs lyrically on the album along with ATW, SoG, HG etc.

Problem is IAD is not good on its own imo. The lyrics are cliched and the production's a bit generic. Taylor's delivery is honest yes, but vocally it's just too pitchy which ultimately degrades from the song's quality.

I kind of like her vocals on I Almost Do. They sound appropriately desperate where there's desperation on the song and appropriately winsome and soft when she's recalling memories. They just make sense to me.
