One of the more personal items on offer is Madonna's day planner from 1988, in which she's entered notes about appearances on Late Night with David Letterman, outings with then-husband Penn, birthday reminders and holiday plans. Director Martin Nolan tells ABC News Radio, "Of course, it was before we had you know, the Blackberrys or the iPhones, and before everything became electronic. So the day planner was really an important part of anybody's daily routine and was something that touches her personally.
You get an insight into her life....what it was like to be somebody like Madonna at the time."
Justify My Love is one of Madonna’s most controversial songs to date. As a result of all the controversy, the single was released as a video-single and became one of the the highest selling video single of all time.
The song peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and it was certified Platinum.
In UK it peaked at #2, selling 235.000 so far.
Justify My Love has sold more than 2.000.000 units worldwide so far.
The video was deemed too sexually explicit for MTV and was banned from the network.
