This is the most cohesive season in terms of storyline.
The writers didn't open up a bunch of storylines and not them close.
This season is very bookended.
I think Asylum was more well-rounded. The endings were satisfying, for the most part, other than the aliens and how they took Kit. But you take it-- a mostly unsatisfying ending (but completely cohesive one), or a mostly satisfying but not entirely finished ending?
Her character didn't have much more to offer in terms of plot.
I love ya'lls passion but now ya'll can see why I was so pressed with how the writers did Shelley in Asylum.
Some characters are just expendable on this show... it's been that way since season one.
I don't think anyone was expendable in Freak Show until they were made expendable, except for maybe Gloria. Everyone had parts that changed things majorly, and I'd expect satisfying endings, but then their plots would make a random turn and suddenly end.
As for Shelly, who I loved, she wasn't in the main cast, so anything could go with her. With each season, I know the main cast will stick around for a while, so they could at least have a more deserved and justified ending rather than being a throwaway character.
Oh my god...I forgot this season was still going on.
I thought it ended awhile back.
I'm such a bad fan!
This is what happens when school comes around.
I'll admit, seeing the little endings for Desiree or Jimmy, Bette & Dot were sweet, along with where Elsa/Ethel/the freaks ended up, but it just didn't work in the grand scheme of things and it felt... a little forced.

I thought the aliens in Asylum were explained well and resolved.
I def think Angela needs to be top billing next season. She's more than capable of picking up where Jessica left off. Let Evan, rest, we know Emma is doing scream queens so she won't be back hopefully. Lily, Frances, Kathy are always welcome so hopefully they will be back, and I'd like to see Finn return. Outside of the names I mentioned its time for some newbies: A strong male lead and a few others.
