I did really expect DEAD to smash hard. Such a fun and summerish song. Its current performance disappoints me. Music is unpredictable. Wasn't here for EHC, now it's doing much better.

I never expected us to turn into other stanbases. Who call a song a flop if it doesnt hit the top 10 in a week, only like songs if theyre smashing.

Calling her unpromoted country only single with a tour video a flop after like 2 weeks is disgusting and disappointing.

Not to mention that besides the 4 million people who already own the album, a million people already bought the song seperately. Expecting it to be any higher on itunes is just ludicrous at this point.

But a "#1 song in 2012" is a great promo line, and majority of public still think that #1 song is a good song/smash, so I see where BMR/Taylor is coming from.

Exactly the attitude I was talking about.

No ones sixth single from a 4x platinum album that already went platinum is gonna zoom to the top right away. Especially on country, country's much slower.
Trust me, I used to Follow Katy Perry's singles, her songs were on pop charts an her sixth single from a barely 2x plat album was probably around the 600s on iTunes at this point and barely top 50 on pop. That was coming off of last Friday night. What momentum does Red have? The 6 month old Begin again? Her 2 second part in HDC? She's still facing backlash because country is getting the shaft in favor of pop, for someone who doesn't identify as a pop artist she surely is acting like one this era. Heck Red is SMASHING at this point with all these things stacked against it, most added 2 weeks in a row and getting 70+ spins.
