San Diego's Z90.3 announced this morning that Lady Gaga is going to release a new single before October and the title of the single (and album) could be called "Warning Signs." People in Lady Gaga's camp are saying that the song will "shock" her listeners because it sounds nothing like anything she has done before.
Lady Gaga's last album Born This Way was neither a huge hit nor a huge flop. It sold 5.4 million copies worldwide, but many complained that the sales total was inflated due to a deeply discounted price of 99 cents at Amazon.com. Most artists would froth at the mouth for a hit album like Born This Way, but the disappointment comes in that the album was predicted to sell four times as much.
Some think Warning Signs (if that is indeed the name of the album) will make or break Gaga, but her Born This Way Ball tour has already made over 50 million dollars and will be one of the biggest grossing tours ever by a solo artist. Look for an announcement of dates for the United States soon.
I won't believe those flops until it's official, they paid Gaga dust this past era.
Well, maybe Gaga gave them exclusive news so that they'll play her more this time around.
If you think about it, "Warning Signs" makes sense. Like, the warning signs that people are about to turn against you and you're about to die. Maybe she'll reference the TEOG video backlash as her own personal "warning sign".
