In a message on her Twitter page just minutes ago, Mariah has announced that she will be shooting the music video to "Obsessed" on Sunday, June 28th.

Brett Ratner will be directing the "Obsessed" music video and it will be their 7th music video that they have collaborated on. Brett previously directed Mariah's "I Still Believe" (1998), "Heartbreaker" (1999), "Thank God I Found You" (2000), "It's Like That" (2005), "We Belong Together" (2005) and "Touch My Body" (2008) music videos.

The video shoot will be held in an undisclosed location in New York.

Many are suggesting that if airplay doesn't increase, the song may be severely deeply discounted like many Mariah singles, which topped the charts when they were reduced to the price of 49 cents, when the normal price for a physical single was $3. Others are saying that Mariah will repress the availability of downloads for the song until August so the song can chart higher. Mariah Carey has always been praised for her ability to manipulate Billboard's music charts so her songs can become big hits even if they technically really aren't hitting.

They aren't fake. You know that people have to buy her songs for them to go to #1, the radio has to play her songs for her to go #1, her album has to do well for her to go to #1 ... she just knows when to release a song ... unlike many who have yet to take BEP out of the top spot.

Come on, please!! The songs during the late 90s had NO airplay!! But they were out for 49 cents! Even Loverboy hit no2!!! LOVerboy for god's shake!!! Outside the US where she could never use those tactics she barely has hits on the charts. It's ridiculous! So funny to eatch everyone on CNN making fun of her!
