For someone who is supposed to be a total legend of raw and unadulterated megatalent, it's strange how Prince only has 2 songs that people know and remember:
1) The one from Pretty Woman
2) The one where he says maybe he's just like his mother, he's never satisfied
His persona definitely overshadowed his music. Everyone knows Prince. Very few people know Prince's music.

You're right. I mean, "Shower" is still dreadful, but like you said, at least it's charming and "cute," even though it's absolutely dreadful. And that's definitely what "Pills N Potion" should have been. Anything Nicki Minaj releases is going to be bad, because she's a pretty terrible music artist, but at least, make your terrible songs "cute" so they can at least sell.

Yes, Pretty Woman is basically the main reason people know Prince's music. Kinda sad that despite his immeasurable talent his greatest exposure comes from a romantic comedy.
Prince is an old school star, they didn't care about fans that much back in the day, but since the Internet has made communication between celebrities and their following easier now everybody pretends to love their fans like they'd love their own kids
