Many fans discovered Pixies through Nirvana, like me. Kurt was very open about his influences (or whom he wanted to rip off

). I think both bands have similar atmosphere/ feel to them, but they both have also easily distinguishable, unique sound. Nirvana did something similar to what Pixies tried before and were successful, thats all. Frank wouldnt want so much fame anyway, and so didnt Kurt.
