No , people buy just to buy it. And also buy into a hype. That's what hype does. This song has been hyped to no end.

Honestly, I wish I could but I cant.
It just isnt clicking, the only catchy thing I remember is: "dont be a drag, be a queen."

The Gaga stans can call her the queen of pop all they like , but America will forever be behind to accepting ethnic artists the way they do white artists.
Its no surprise that Susan Boyle, Britney, Justin beiber , Eminem and Taylor swift pulled those numbers in America. Outside America is with the program as rihanna is huge.
Beyonce and Rihanna are just as competitive in America but they have to bust their ass more. It is what it is. Anyone who disagrees is not being realistic.

I said it wasn't fresh at all, I never said I didn't like it. I liked it straight away but I was disappointed with it because it's just not what I was expecting. I wanted it to be darker.

Yeah, the biggest pop star ever was a black man. I'm not saying black pop artists don't face challenges in the industry, but to suddenly turn this into a racial thing is just stupid.

A song by the most relevant pop artist in the world right now had a lot of hype. Truly shocking.

Rihanna's biggest market is the UK, and even there her success can't compare to GaGa's. I don't see why you had to bring race into this, it's not a factor in most people's minds. Should we bring up the fact that radio is better suited to black artists? Not tonight dear.

People need to realize that their opinions have little bearing on the opinions of others. If you think the song is bad, cool. Newsflash: some people actually like the song, and that's why it's doing so well. Hype helps in that it increases awareness, but ultimately nobody is going to purchase something they don't want to buy. Repeatedly saying "the song is bad, you'll learn!" isn't going to change this.
And I say this as someone who isn't too hot on the song.

Aguilera, Rihanna, Robbie Williams, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Avril Lavigne, Alicia Keys. Gaga doesn't have a fanbase, she's just the big new girl.
