I remember when I was little I used to see ghosts all the time going up and down the stairs, in my room, etc. I remember one time my parents were fighting and they went to bed upset. My dad woke up and saw this woman at the foot of the bed, and was beyond freaked out. He immediately woke up my mother, and she asked him what the woman was wearing. He said a pink nightgown. My mothers mom was buried in a pink nightgown, and it was most likely her. I remember one time I was watching tv, and I had a chair sitting in front of it, and I was lazy as hell changing the channels at like 1am. Out of nowhere as I am in between changing the channel someone whispers in my ear really loudly "I'm dead!" and I immediately run out of the house, and down the street. Uhm, what else.. Oh, this house is just creepy to me.. like, even in the daylight if I'm alone I feel like someone is watching me, and just get a weird feeling, especially at night. I'll be fine walking to the bathroom and stuff, but if I go into the kitchen in the middle of the night, I immediately feel like someone is walking behind me the entire way back upstairs. I always run up the stairs and close my door in my room. I also remember after my grandma died, my dog would start looking in the hallway, and in the other room at someone that wasn't there. I remember one time my dog was outside in my grandparents yard (they live next door) and my dog was rolling his ball to someone that wasn't there. Also, one time right after my grandma died, I was taking my dog next door to my grandparents yard since they have a fence, and as soon as I went to open the gate, I smelled a strong whiff of my grandmothers perfume. I got freaked out, and as I went back inside before I even told my mother anything.. she looks at me and says "Do you smell anything?" while she was in the living room. We had both smelled my grandma's perfume. It was crazy, but at the same time, I felt more relaxed about her passing.
I have other stories too if y'all are interested.. about ouiji boards, civil war soldiers, etc.

Yes. I was very young when that happened. Some of my family are very into church and they got a pastor and basically did an exorcism on my cousin. This is what my family told me.

Oh, I forgot to add that while in my house.. if it's very quiet.. I can sort of hear voices.. I don't know if I can like tap into some paranormal frequency or something.. but it sounds similar to a radio being on in your house, but far away in another room, and you can barely hear it. It's kind of weird. I hate being alone. I remember at one point I told my mom about things happening to me that were creepy and unexplained, and she went through the house and yelled for whatever was in the house to leave me alone, that I didn't want to hear or see them.. and after that it's kind of been an isolated thing. I still get very freaked out sometimes though. There was one time where my mom was sitting on the couch talking to someone on the phone, and she looked over, and there was an imprint of someone sitting next to her on the sofa. There was also another time where my parents were fighting really badly, and the door knob on the door just started shaking violently as if someone was telling them to stop haha. I have so much to talk about.. Crazy **** has happened to me, and my family.

I have a question for y'all.
Do you think that you believe because it happens, or that it happens because you believe? Your subconscious is extremely powerful.
I mean when you really think about it you hear most supernatural stories from certain tribes eg. African, South American, etc. and the least in urban areas. The "supernatural world" has also lost its influence as we have become modernized.
In addition, stuff like possession, and many other supernatural events tend to be similar with the experience of those around them... but can be very different from region to region. Could it really be the influence of our surroundings? I mean even if you didn't "believe" in the supernatural until you experienced it, you were still introduced to the idea. Would you still have supernatural experiences if you weren't introduced to the idea?
What do you think?

Is it bad that whenever I see the name Bloody Mary, I now only think of the song first and then the actual myth.

I think it's a little bit of both. I believe in the supernatural but I think a lot of things could be due to paranoia and being afraid of something, which leads to you hearing sounds that you probably would have ignored or not heard under normal circumstances. I'm pretty sure our senses are heightened from adrenaline so that could contribute to that.
But yeah, I think a lot of my beliefs come from the fact that my parents are Central American and they've been exposed to ghost stories all their lives. My mom who has no reason to lie to me, especially at my age, tells me stories that she swears by, as well as stories from her sisters and even her father who swears he had an encounter with the devil when he was a young man. A lot of these stories also happened in groups, so with 3-4 witnesses, I have a hard time believing they're fake.
And I've had my share of experiences that would have led to me believing whether or not I was introduced to the idea.
