Artpop deserves atleast an 65-68 score but w/e critics are just opinions from people who matter in music, it doesn't mean the album is actually bad.

I think the album is getting lower scores because there isn't a whole lot of musical progressiveness in it, honestly.
Songs like G.U.Y. and Gypsy are not awfully forward-thinking. However, they're amazing, amazing pop songs.
Just because the album is receiving lower scores doesn't mean it's "bad", but that she can do better.
And she can, but I think ARTPOP was supposed to be a moderately commercial effort. It is what it is.
I think a part of why it's getting panned is because the music she made for ARTPOP is kinda trend-fitting rather
than the usual Gaga trend-setting. Does that make sense to y'all?

Yeah I have mixed feelings about your post. These people know their stuff. Like REALLY know their stuff. I compare them most of the time to myself and I agree on a lot of points especially when it comes down to reviews of mainstream pop albums. It's a really hit or miss though when they review alternative (rock), experimental, electronic, indie or hip-hop albums. That's when things get interesting to me, because they interpret the music most of the time on such different levels it's beyond insane imo. That's where my own taste and preference kicks in especially when I don't agree with them.

What I'm trying to say is that they're 99% right when it comes down to pop music for the masses.

Almost every thread on this site is for anyone to post it's just that some people shouldn't post at threads where they add nothing to the conversation anyway.

Also, I happen to like Madonna more than Gaga since I've been a Madonna listener and admirer longer than Gaga.
