1970s is the best decade of movies excluding the Classic Hollywood era of the 1920s-50s IMO. I love the 70s- the proper transition from the prim and proper to gritty as f*ck era. Sci-fi, horror films, etc. their beginnings. The transformation of the word action movie. It didn't mean Old Western films anymore.
1970s was also the golden era for both rock music and black music/culture imo. For dance music too.
