Just a few weeks ago Keri caused a spectacle on the internet,stemming from a recent occurrence at 2011 the Soul Train Awards.Apparently,Juicy Magazine asked Keri to hold up none of their magazines (featuring a photo of Jay-Z and Beyonce on the cover).At first Keri consented to holding up the magazine BUT once she realized Beyonce and Jay-Z were on the cover,she declined.
Couple that with the shade she threw at Beyonce in her remix to “Turnin me On” telling her that “She need to go have some babies,she need to sit down she fading”.I’ve noticed Keri has gushed about being a songwriter during some points in her career.That’s not anything too special considering that there are many pop stars who wrote,or at least co-wrote their material.
The basicness that reeks inside Keri Hilson also appears in her music.Take “Pretty Girl Rock” for example.IN THE FIRST VERSE IN THE SONG she sings “My name is Keri,I’m so very fly oh my it’s a little bit scary,Boys wanna marry,looking at my derriere you can stare but if you touch it i’mma bury,Pretty as a picture, Sweeter than a swisher, Mad cause i’m cuter that the girl that’s with you” These lyrics do not scream “empowerment” as her stans claim,instead it shows Keri Hilson doing what she does best…..being a basic bitch(which Urbandictionary defines as a bum-ass woman who think she the **** but really ain’t, as popularized by lil duval and spokenreasons.)She’s basically leading us to think her ass is all that,and that she is flyyy.Girl sit the hell down with that ****!You are a CHEAP BEYONCE AND RIHANNA KNOCKOFF who performs at Walmart (Beyonce and Rihanna Hell! even Ciara,who Keri Hilson’s last album outsold managed to do tours and music festivals.)
