I need ideas to help me play TS4 properly.
I have a ton of pretty CC so I spend most of the time creating sims and lots but then I get bored .
Relight my fire please.

I run out of things to do so quickly in TS4 Like I spend days making my house/sims then like a few hours getting my sims to level 10 skills and a top job and then i'm stuck for what to do.

I got the Mac Version back in February & quickly became disinterest in it, it was lackluster, dull, restricted & boring.
I still have the base game but for some reason over the summer I had the urge to play & started downloading CC, Making plans to do different challenges, looking for deals on Expansion, Game & Stuff packs (bought GTW over the weekend should be arriving in the mail tomorrow & now I'm eyeing The Sims 4 Bundle Includes Spa Day & Perfect Patio Stuff) It all feels so new & exciting to me, Im especially excited for what's to come I read we're getting Toddlers & Pre-Teens in the near future

I love your sims, I love how most of them aren't pasty white sims.
Lizzy is slaying.

Hyuk & Cedar look super cute! All your Sims are great also.
Also, how many hours have you guys played a Sims game for? (In Origin, it'll show you how many hours you played for the game.)

I've been using my computer to play Sims 3 for about more than 3 years now and I feel like it couldn't handle the game anymore
All those years using HQ mod to take pictures & rendering a bunch of custom contents kinda took a toll on my graphic card I guess, now it's burning out and will get messed up/losing signals to my monitor if I run any graphic-heavy programs for a period of time, which is why I've been hesistating to play Sims.
I feel like it's time for me to get a new graphic card already but I don't really know which one should I get or if it'll fit my case or if I know how to ensemble one or not. Does it means that I'm gonna have to get a new power supply too?
I'm just not really good with computers

The Sims 3 should really not burn graphics cards but it's so poorly optimized even without mods and CC people complain it's fried their PC.
It's due to the fact the game constantly pushes your card to the max, instead of setting a limit (like most games including 4). So The Sims 3 will try to run at the highest frame rate your card can handle, which long term fries it.
The Sims 3 is only built for 30fps, so the fact the game just doesn't cap there is ridiculous. You could have it run at 300fps and barely notice a difference since the animations are 30fps. The Sims 3 just overpowers PC's, even though the extra 3/4 worth of power doesn't change anything. The best bet is to set a frame limiter using your card's drivers/program.
And the hilarious part is, the fact the Sims 3 is constantly pushing your PC to its limits, is why the game mostly runs poorly in the first place. All the devs needed to do was cap the game, and not only would you not notice a difference to the framerate, the game would be much smoother anyway.

I always tell people to be extremely careful when using the HQ mod. It's a great mod, but it comes with cons.

But then it could be argued that's the reason they returned to a loading screen lot-to-lot format. I don't know. Considering EA makes hundreds of millions (possibly billions in franchise terms) and can't create a intuitive AND well working game...

The Sims 3 had a massive amount of content, along with Create a Style and a wide open world. All that mixed together with no FPS cap makes for a mess, it's no wonder people's computers started to fry because of it.
I think EA wanted to take a more cautious approach with TS4, and I'm kind of glad they did. I'm sure with TS5, they'll find the perfect balance.

Thanks, the Park twins are slaying me a bit, Tae has been flirting with a random cute guy sim I made without me interfering so now I'm going to make it happen.
I've played 52 hours so far

Yes I've been playing it lately. I love putting them on free will. The sims really do have unique personalities in TS2.

Sims needs to be more social online and more open worldly like TS3 was.
Imagine ATRLville with all our sims cohabiting , work on in it EA.

Well, one of the devs who worked on the console port of The Sims 3 said they had to change so many things because the game would ruin people's PS3's, and it was also rebuilt, but just from porting, but the entire process was restarted. The most obvious change was the fact it wasn't Open World and it was split up into different areas.
I think the Sims 4 was always going to be in hoods. The reason why it's lot by lot though according to the devs is due to multitasking, and the fact having the hoods open meant the game kept calculating potential options for multitasking.
I'll try and find the link that explains it.
EDIT: Here: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/disc...-talk-i#latest
I wanna say it wasn't worth it, but I love Multitasking more than Open World.

EA made the Sims 4 easy to run, because as exposed by a developer, they wanted everyone to be able to play it to get them interested again.

Maxis already have some of the devs working on a "secret Sims project" and they no longer promote 4, and some devs have said they are working on a "upcoming Sims title".
I'm sure it's coming.
