I never said "Hello" didn't deserve 14 weeks at #1.
"Hello" getting that many weeks (even though it won't happen) would really be indifferent to me (aside being annoyed for a little as a Mariah fan). She's broken 3,000 records so nothing is really shocking or jaw-dropping at this point.
Hello doesn't deserve Mariah's record because I think it's not as good as WBT. WBT is the better song and ATRL seem to agree http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.php?t=920910
For me it's not about sales but quality
ITN is a clear MJ ripoff tbh. There's really nothing special about the song. It just rode the success of TH/CFMF. The callout scores are indicative of the fact that people aren't really here for that song.
This. It's crazy that it's a favorite. It's the only one I truly skip on the album. And Earned It.
