These movies are always panned, and still do well. And as the fourth film, I doubt it was expected to top the initial sequel...with how it's perceived. And it's Friday numbers alone ($72 million), beat Eclipse's 3-day weekend. So I don't know who lied about that. Adjusted predictions have it come about $10 million behind New Moon too.

Basically "It Will Rain" will sustain beyond this film.
