Even in the chance it doesn't get to #10 on CHR, there is still Billboard, which comes Monday. Gonna be really close. Still puzzles me why there hasn't been this huge request movement from her fans like there was during the TD era. Or even a download movement. I still don't think anyone owns Birthday as a single.
I bought LFN 7 times on 5 or 6 different versions....all at the right moment.
I think everyone has gotten lazy in regards to that stuff.
So if Birthday got to #1 everyone would love it? Do you people really all stan for success only? Maybe you're all just being sarcastic, but man....grow up a little.
Birthday will remain a huge bop in my eyes forever, regardless of anything.
Here's hoping I wake up to good news.
I don't know if your were referring to me or not but
I do love Birthday all I said was call it weak,
and for me it's kinda true compared to the rest of the album with a lot of potential Hits

I wanted the song to SMASH, TRUE but I wasn't totally here for it tbh
All I'm saying is when a song everyone likes is released, they scream SMASH. But when it doesn't, they switch their opinion as to why it's bad and it's weak, etc. This isn't just Katycats, it's everyone. It puts a huge stigma on ATRL on being an immature site, which it is. Just wish it wasn't, cuz this site has huge potential in being influential, but as long as there are people that just simply ruin things and make it seem kindergarten, there will never be progression.
Granted I love the gif wars, the banter, etc. it's hilarious don't get me wrong. I'm not a prude. I just wish people who actually love a song would simply love the song unconditionally no matter what chart trajectory will become of it. No switching stances. No stanning for success. It's really idiotic.
Birthday is still a hit in my eyes. Anything in the Top 40 is. Just wait until she doesn't achieve that. Can you imagine the meltdowns? It's not even close to that yet. Marvel in this moment.
Birthday is a bop. Essentially Katy. Some are just mad coz of the misopportunities with this single: Early release, the music video, getting Dark Horsed. Pretty sure these bitches get their life in their rooms once the song plays in their ipods. Let us move one and just be happy like it's a motherf*****' birthday!
I already knew prism era would be her dangerous era. Just like Michael Jackson,
After he release black or white and it went #1 for 7 weeks. His 2nd single remember the time went #1 on radio and #3 on the hot 100. His 3rd single in the closet went #6. His fourth single went #26. His fifth single went #14. His sixth single went #27. His seventh single Will you be there pushed the era back into play and went #7 and became one of his biggest hits. He had several hit and miss singles yet he slayed in albums sales and Dominated the charts. What I'm saying is that you don't need every single to be a top 10.
I think if Katy continues her era. She'll have several hits and miss releases. I believe Katy Didn't want to have that same success as teenage dream because it's challenging as she stated in a interview.
Because you guys never know. Maybe this song won't peak top 10 but her next single will. Birthday success so far is enough for her label to continue investing in this era.
Where as, ARTPOP is done, as her label should not spend anymore money on single releases.
But PRISM is strong. Watch she snatch another top 10 like Michael did with Will you be there.

I can't believe you just compared PRISM to Michael Jackson's Dangerous.
