I think leaving Judas as the WW single at the moment was a good choice and so was dumping it in America and moving in.
Interscope knows what is going on, as Kunt preached:
Interscope has dollar signs in their eyes. I want her singles to have the success/promo they deserve before moving on. Most of her most remembered singles acheived this level of success before they got huge promo over a very long period of time. More successful singles = more album sales in the end. First week sales aren't everything...The Fame debuted with 20k, but overall had many huge hits, so it sold a lot.
Wasn't RITD released like 6 months ago? Where is it now? And Adele's album is doing more than fine WW and in the US. Don't need to rush anything.
I don't really think it matters how many singles, 2 or 3, they have brought out before the album. I think the fans will buy the album whether nontheless. If the album's any good (ofcourse it will), the fairweather stans will join forces. I really see her selling at least 10 - 15 M and I may sound delusional, pull off a 1+ M debut in the USA.
Sometimes a song doesn't have to go #1 to have a MAJOR impact (Toxic, Bad Romance).
Judas was released, and it did moderately well -- but just because something doesn't go #1, doesn't mean its impact wasn't felt -- nor does that mean that the song isn't well known.
We should be thankful that GaGa quickly moved on from the single though -- especially since another A-list artist is still trying to make a road out of a mudslide.
