Has an Avril discography rate been done? We need one.

I would like to host two jpop-related rates at some point:

1) a Japanese rnb rate with some prominent artists in the genre and their best, according to the j-pop community, albums. I know that the schedule is tight, so I'm aiming for early February or later to start accepting the ballots. There are 7 artists (I doubt it will tell you anything, but: Miliyah Kato x BENI x Crystal Kay x JASMINE x JUJU x EMI MARIA x Thelma Aoyama). The list of the albums is TBA, but it should be ready by the time it'll have started.

2) an "avant-garde women in j-pop" rate. They are Jun Togawa and her bands (Guernica, Yapoos) x Shiina Ringo and her band (Tokyo Jihen) x Seiko Oomori (she's basically a trubite act of both, but with her own take on music). For this rate there will be a list of selected songs (streamable) for each artist / band and more people, even those who are not familiar with the genre, could participate. I could start it as soon as I've finished with the first one.

More ideas for Japanese music rates will be coming this year, so please bear with it.

Actually I think I will participate in the TW2015 rate, because I really want to rep Sleater-Kinney.

All albums are great though, it'll be another TW2014 situation where I love everything and will end up giving all 7-10 scores

That was what I was thinking at first, but when I started making the list and searching for the streamimg links, it turned out that some videos are either blocked in certain countries or have only a short version, so albums seemed like a better alternative. You could scratch that actually because I'm more interested in signing the avant-garde rate up since I've seen a handful of fans of those ladies all over the forum.

I can't be harsh I'll try my best though. From what I remember I felt like Courtney's was the weakest but it certainly wasn't draggable. I might have to knock a few Carly songs down though since they didn't do much for me and she's probably the front-runner anyway.

Remember the Panic! vs FOB vs Paramore vs 30STM rate?

Someone should do a round two rate, using the newer albums by FOB and Panic!, replacing Paramore with PVRIS and adding in Twenty One Pilots for the Fueled By Ramen trinity.

Days Are Gone was reserved for This Was 2013 but I don't know what the current situation with that rate is.

You should think of a rate you want to host. Then post your idea here and Ace will tell you if you can do it or not. If he says yes then you can open a thread about the rate with all the rules and stuff.

Oh. I was thinking of doing some sort of video game OST rate but I'm not sure that this is the right place for it or even if ATRL will receive it well.
