So, how does one fall back in love with music? I feel like music has no meaning anymore…
Not even being a blind stan but when I got bored of music from 2000 onwards a few weeks ago, I went back into like the 60s and 70s and tried to go for more artists of different genres.
I went back to Donna Summer and Blondie and earlier people who weren't as ~electro-pop~ or current as most of my faves.
tl;dr. I'm planning on going through the AOTYs of the Grammys soon and working from the earliest all the way to 1989.

That kinda disheartened me more…
Our future of music looks so bleak if we have to go back in time to progress…
I mean, with current technology, it IS possible to make past music better, but we choose to stay in a constant loop…
Where's the end? When does someone break the cycle? Or can it even be broken?
I think music just doesn't excite me anymore, and that's my whole life…
What do you do when you feel your meaning in life is meaningless?

You obviously haven't heard Dangerous Woman, it will restore your faith.
Honestly, I feel very little for music other people make. If a song I like is a bop or w/e, I'll listen to it, but I just don't form actual connections to music anymore.
Something I always set out to do when making music myself, though, is to try to make my new favorite song. It's a philosophy I think anyone who makes music should hold.

That's what I do. It just makes it ten-times harder to make a career out of it if I'm the only one who likes the song. I feel like I don't have the right support for my work; my family loves it regardless and that does nothing for my progress…
I'm sorry I didn't submit. I apologize but this week has been very tough for me and my boyfriend. Our relationship was very fragile, and we needed to find a way to fix it. So we spent the day talking about it, and yes, it was a little hard, very emotional. But hey, we decided to go to couples therapy, so I think everything will get much better now.
I really want to apologize to the judges and my fellow competitors for quitting but I think I did the right thing. Believe me, this was not the way I would've wanted to leave this competition. I'm in love with platinum hit, it's my favorite thing on ATRL. All the people I've met here are incredible, they've helped me growing as a songwriter, I love dubtracking with you guys, I love reading all the judges critics and everyone's work. I think I never took the proper time to say this but I think, and I mean it, you all are very talented. And I'm glad I had the chance to compete with you all.
I'm totally not going to leave Platinum Hit. I'll be here in the thread posting and dubtracking with you, guys. If you ever need help or an advice feel free to PM me! Even though I'm not a competitor anymore, I'll be here

i was also too drunk to fix my ringtone line, poor me
When you can't find the music
To get down and boogie
All you can do is step back in time
Ball of confusion
When nothing is new, and
There's nothing doin', step back in time
