"A Thousand Miles" was last year's #1, ugh I can never get enough of this song it's truly THE classic tbh. "Monster" is simply epic, I can never get tired of Nicki's iconic verse. "Bad Girls" is the perfect bop, amazing beats and just so catchy. Should've been a hit like Paper Planes.
"Gravity" is the perfect ballad from Sara Bareilles, that climax in the bridge is just everything. I rediscovered "Break the Ice" this year and god this deserves to be one of her signature hits. "Waiting For the End" is perhaps my favourite Linkin Park song ever, it's not too hardcore and there's a nice balance of rap and singing. The song is so hopeful and soars like no other.
"Never Let Me Go" is my favourite from Florence. Just so haunting, so sad. I wish I could drown in this song or something. Lord slayed "All Too Well" at the Grammys, ugh that was everything I could ever ask for tbh.
"Everything Is Embarrassing" is the perfect Sky Ferreira song. Deliciously 80s-influenced and the song is so light and simply so good. Aaaaand "Mr Brightside" is #1. I only got into The Killers greatest hits this year, so this was the song that I revisited the most. Flawless song, it gives me so much energy.

Mr. Brightside! ![eek](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/eek.gif) an excellent #1, but Somebody Told Me slays too
I listened to All Too Well for the first time in a while the other day and it slayed me, I forgot how good it is
Break the Ice, Bad Girls, Monster, and A Thousand Miles ![heart2](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/a3fdf692.gif) a flawlessly diverse top ten ![clap3](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/67d90ee8.gif)

Album Tracks: Aquarius, Good Thing , Feels Like Vegas, Sad Girl, It Was Always You, All of the Stars, Leave Your Lover, Cold Sweat all good. Work Song and Photograph in the top 10 is good to see.
Recurrent: Thinking of You is actually a nice song from Katy, We Sink is so good, Fix You is classic Coldplay, Ribs, Satelite Call is so wonderful and I'm at lost for words. She's got a boyfriend anyway, and Giving Up the Gun is one of the best songs from 2010.
Lost in My Bedroom, Somewhere Only We Know is a new classic, Give Me Love is touching, Ocean Avenue, All the Things THat I've done is good, and like those MCR songs.
A Thousand Miles is a very nice song, Monster is really a monstrous song, Bad Girls, GRavity is nice, Waiting for the End is amazing, Never Let Me Go is powerful, Everything is Embarrassing, and Mr. Brightside is one their best songs. So great.
Anymore more lists?

9 Songs I Wished I Found Out Earlier
So... It's just 9 songs that I discovered too late and were way past their singles run, or else they could've charted high in my Hot 150 Singles of 2014 list.
9
8
7
6
5
4
3
2
1 | Luna
Can't Rely On You
Just Another Girl
Tough Love
Queen
Let Me Down Gently
Work
Brain
Drowning | Bombay Bicycle Club
Paloma Faith
The Killers
Jessie Ware
Perfume Genius
La Roux
Iggy Azalea
BANKS
BANKS |
"Luna" is just such an ecstacy, fun-filled, happiness-infused song. Many people don't like "Can't Rely On You" cuz it kinda sounds like a Blurred Lines redux, but it just sounds like a total bop for me.
I never bothered to check out The Killers' greatest hits till this year, and I discovered how amazing "Just Another Girl" is. ![:'(](images/smilies/images/smilies/cry.gif) It's really up there in their discography tbh. Plus, Dianna Agron! With Say You Love Me, I got into Jessie Ware. But I missed the better single, "Tough Love". That production just slays.
I got into Perfume Genius thanks to year-end critic lists, and "Queen" is just beyond stellar. "No family is safe, when I sashay" is just... So much conflicted feelings about sexuality and identity just flow up. I don't know why I ignored "Let Me Down Gently" when I was lowkey anticipating a La Roux comeback. The buildup is just insane. I listened to "Work" in 2013, but I was really turned away by her voice. After she started smashing in 2014, I started tolerating her voice and this song is just splendid. The lyrics, her delivery, it's an anthem.
I kick myself for refusing to get into BANKS earlier in 2014. I believe I watched "Brain" on YouTube twice but I never pursued any further. This song is simply crazy amazing. Starts off so dark and broody, then explodes in the second half. Ugh I really wish I got into this song earlier. Cuz if so, I would've gotten into her best song, "Drowning" after that. Yeah some lyrics can be a bit corny, but that instrumental breakdown in the chorus! Ugh it makes me spaz like Lorde.
THE END
Farewell note tomorrow!

I don't like Work by Iggy. That song is so overrated and always immune in the Survivor.
Just Another Girl is ok. ![clap3](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/67d90ee8.gif) The chorus is a bit boring, but it's ok.
UK's Lady Gaga aka Paloma ![clap3](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/67d90ee8.gif)

I just downloaded Paloma's album this week! What a coincidence, it must be good if it's here. I can't wait to listen.
Also just another girl is amazing. It was done wrong In the killers rate. I love how you love them.
I'll come back and comment on what I missed ![Fonso](images/smilies/suspicious.gif) can't belive its just about over ![weeps](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/52b0f867.gif)

I felt the exact same way about Work,
Except I was following Iggy's 2013 releases in the UK, & I finally got into Work after Bounce slayed me
I liked La Roux's and Paloma's old music, but I didn't like their new releases
BANKS, Perfume Genius, and Jessie Ware might slay me this year if I ever get around to listening to them

Monster, Gravity, All Too Well, Mr. Brightside ![Alexz](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ec20fb7f.gif) Masterpieces tbh.
The Killers + Iggy on the other list
Great Best Of ![clap](http://home.arcor.de/smiliez/smz/1074.gif) You slayed hard this year. Hopefully you'll be able to do something for December if you're around.

Ok, and I'm back. Did you miss me?
I came to comment on your top recurrents.
Fix You ![cries](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/45ab1e3e.gif) Beautiful song.
The real winner is Giving Up The Gun. I love that song so much! Definitely one of my favorites of the decade! The tennis playing video is one of my all-time favorite videos.
I didn't know you liked Yellowcard ![eek](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/eek.gif) Ocean Avenue is like the perfect pop-rock song. It was basically my favorite song growing up.
Quote:
There's a place off Ocean Avenue / Where I used to sit and talk with you
We were both 16 and it felt so right / Sleeping all day, staying up all night / Staying up all night
|
Perfect lyrics
Holyground, Somewhere Only We Know, Run, All These Things I've Done. All classics in my book. Amazing songs here.
And then Break The Ice, Bad Girls, and Monster are just beautiful.
Even better is Mr. Brightside at the top and All Too Well right up there too (that Grammy performance of All Too Well is one of my all-time favorite performances).
All Too Well is beautiful and 'Hot Fuss' could be my favorite album. I've played that so much since 2004.
Sorry for the rambling, there was just too much to comment on. Who has better taste? I haven't met anyone ![worship](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/971600d3.gif)
