She grew up listening to southern hip hop and she's been emulating that her whole career. So you may think it's "try-hard" but I doubt she's "trying" anything. This comes natural to her.

"Bow Down" and "Diva" are the same type of song, so i'm not understanding some people's reactions to this track.

Well i'm not saying my opinion is the only one...I would agree that Diva is SIMILAR to bow down but Bow Down takes the ratchetness to a whole 'nother level. I guess I'm just not used to hearing this from bey (not the genre, more the delivery)
