Moderately hit era. It was a comeback from her last flop era and that's good enough. She's taken her career to a new level and been legitimized outside of Disney so that's even better. At the same time it appears that she's running out of steam midway through.

Definitely succeeded, but I'm not so sure if it could be considered a hit at this point. Yeah, it sold like a million copies its first week, but it was heavily frontloaded. It has one successful single while most other pop girls recently have had at least 2.

I say moderate success. If Bey gets some more promo it could become a sure hit, and it will be a hit if she releases Blow.

Its sudden release is iconic tho.

Hit. But I feel like there was too much of a spike with its initial surprise release and also with every song having a video. Now there's nothing to look forward to. Consequently I feel like 'Drunk In Love' overperformed because it was riding the wave of the album's success and Beyonce's dominance starting in December 2013, whereas 'Partition' underperformed because it was released after the hype had died down and people had already seen the video months before it was announced as a single. So they already knew what the video was/how sexy it was, and there wasn't much to discuss as it had been seen 4 months ago. I really hope this doesn't affect 'Blow' and 'Blow' doesn't underperform, because Blow and Partition are the best songs on the album IMO.

Also, Pretty Hurts is a guaranteed #1 final single to close out the album. Not sure when it will come, but, it's coming.
