So I watched the video and realized that I actually have listened to some of the songs but forgot about them. Lol. Helena Beat and Sunset In July are coming!
Here's the thing: Ever since I began to dabble with a video version of the Blokk of Rokk, I have found myself being way more interested in doing the video version than I ever have been interested in doing the normal chart version. As it stands, I'm beginning to think of the possibility of the Blokk becoming video-only. I am not saying that this is DEFINITELY going to happen, but it's a thought that is crossing my mind, especially this week. Once again, I will primarily be posting a video Blokk (with Flashback found within) and the top 30 in text form below it. This week, however, the text top 20 will all have stats! HOORAY!
As for the actual countdown, there is a brand new #1. But does #1 now belong to Paramore or Volbeat? Find out below!

Next week, Paramore shoots for a second week at #1. Can Volbeat or Foster the People say nay to this proposition? Could the Kaiser Chiefs fly all the way to #1? And just how high can RHCP go in their second week on the Blokk? Find out next week! I think!
7/30/11: Paramore vs. All (also: Blokk = YouTube-exclusive)
You are reading that title correctly: Officially, as of today, the Blokk of Rokk is a video-only affair. As much as it pains me to say, I just don't enjoy doing the Blokk in chart form anymore. I've always been interested in doing a video version of at least ONE of my countdowns in the past, but I now have the actual software and ability to do so. More importantly, it's just more EXCITING to actually do a weekly video version of one of my countdowns, and the Blokk is just as good of a candidate as any.
That being said, I love the current look of the Blokk. The video is, obviously, the centerpiece of the whole layout, but you also have the ability to view the entire top 30 in text form (including stats for every top 20 song...and, most importantly, it's not longer collapsed!) if you do not wish to watch the video, even if I would prefer that you watched the video. It's all about the ability to experience the Blokk your own way.
Now, with that said, we still have a countdown to post. Paramore's going for week number two at the top. Will the Paramonster stay at the top, or can one of the many contenders beneath it take it down?

27) My Morning Jacket - Holdin' On to Black Metal
26) Alter Bridge - Ghost of Days Gone By
25) Sleeper Agent - Get It Daddy
24) Hail the Villain - My Reward
23) MUTEMATH - Odd Soul
22) Red Line Chemistry - Ultragigantor
21) Social Distortion - Gimme the Sweet and Lowdown
20) Limp Bizkit - Shotgun (8 weeks, peak #10, last #10)
19) Staind - Not Again (3 weeks, peak #19, last #23)
18) The Joy Formidable - Whirring (16 weeks, peak #2(2), last #16)
17) Blink-182 - Up All Night (2 weeks, peak #17, last #21)
