Yes, it may raise some talk...but I don't see it smashing...especially on the pop radio. And nowadays the song that isn't successful on the pop radio = flop. It's hard to find a song that smashed without a pop support. Maybe ****** in Paris. And that one is also number 22 on pop.
If she released it only as an urban single, we would have a double-release mess again.

WFL has only about 1 million AI on Urban. It's essentially not relevant to WHYB's performance, it would be negligible.
I see what you mean though It would just add to the long list of Rihanna singles. It would be released for album sales and a video, not a peak on the hot 100 though.
