On one hand, I understand them actually. They are basically disney's record label and probably want to keep their music very disney- rated. Its a good way to make money by releasing albums from stars who are reaching their target audience daily on their sitcoms and stuff like that.
When their artists grow up and naturlly want their music to grow up as well, it might not fit what their label represents and who they target too. It would be like a country star signing to a cash money.
