I agree with this. The only song I bop to is Formation.

This is why I dreaded the idea of a joint album or any sort of continuation of the soap opera. It was a great thing for a concept album but nothing more.

My exact feelings. I've always said if Lemonade never got a movie or the hype, it would be seen as a standard album. Self-titled is her true masterpiece. Even the worst songs like Superpower and Drunk in Love are good to an extent.

Lemonade is NOT her 2nd best album either. It's down there with her worst, honestly.

ST and Bday remain her best in every single way. Then 4 followed by DIL. Lemonade is down there with IASF.

No replay value, the highs aren't that high, songs like Sandcastles are atrocious and reminiscent of the I AM side. Formation is the best song on there.

"Sorry" and "hold up" are good songs but they are NOT amazing like "Drunk In Love", "Partition" or "Mine". 6 Inch is cute but it's a Weeknd throwaway. It's not The Hills, not even close.

That movie and the propaganda did wonders for that album. ST deserved every bit of its acclaim + praise for the digital drop (a true shock and game changing move for the industry). Lemonade having a 90 on meta critic is insane

ST has like 6-7 amazing songs and a few other good ones. A few filler but when you have 10 or so good-amazing songs, it doesn't matter.

Haunted, DIL, No Angel, Jealous, Partition and Mine for me are all 10/10. Flawless, XO, Blow and Rocket are all good too. The other 4 songs are blah.
