Why is everyone saying TIHWD is the next single? Besides the Chanel campaign i don't see a reason tbh.
It only makes sense. Capitol would not be stupid enough to release Legendary Lovers right now. LL is a fall smash, not a summer smash.
The only two options are WoA and TIHWD currently. After Birthday didn't really work, they would also not be stupid as to release WoA, which is very similar in sound. TIHWD is a perfect song to blast in the summer with the windows down.
Am I the only one who thinks that she should release LL and then stop the PRISM era? It's either that or a re-release with that Rihanna feature.

To be perfectly honest, hindsight is always 20/20 and neither "Unconditionally" or "Birthday" seemed like bad single choices but its a clear indication that Capitol needs to stop giving Luke and Max executive producer duties because they favor their songs when it comes to arranging track lists and choosing singles when some songs that are superior aren't showcased properly.
This era really should have launched with "Roar" and "Dark Horse" then branched out with ITT, LL, and WOA.
tbh the prism era has been a victim of bad timing. Unconditionally seemed like a good 2nd single choice bc it sort of showed something different from katy and it was winter time so a ballady song made sense. and then Dark Horse started picking up steam and completely derailed it. Birthday seemed like a great choice and an obvious smash imo but i guess a combination of the video not getting the attention they were aiming for and the lack of promo sort of tanked it.
This Is How We Do with a great video could be a really obvious summer smash.
Maybe if you reverse the two it could work.
