Sure, Hillary has had diplomatic experience and was already in the White House for 8 years working alongside her husband, but we can't ever know for sure who will be a good president based on experience alone. Her experience goes far beyond being in the White House for 8 years as First Lady, obviously. She has that to her credit of course, but she was also a senator (of a huge state) and also Secretary of State. She's obviously waaaaaaay more qualified than most people who run for president, in any election.

I agree that we should get rid of caucuses and simply use secret ballots. There are plenty of other ways for people looking for discussion re: candidates to find places to do so. Having the discussions be an integral part of the actual voting seems a little bit odd to me.

I think the distrust is probably concentrated with those people between 18-25 (Bernie supporters). These are also the same individuals who are unfamiliar with the entire career of Hillary, especially her time as First Lady in the 90's. Most Democrats 30 and up have positive views of her.
