Teddy Riley is so hit and miss so far when it comes to K-Pop. The Boys and the songs he produced for Rania are kinda insufferable but "What is Love" is flaw-free. The Exo boys' vocals are a big part of what makes the song though, so idk if it would sound as good with another group singing it...

Listen to the instrumental in the chorus. Those lush reverse-hitting chords and the Dream-style drum hits...I'm pretty sure it's a win/win.

Well he didn't produce the song entirely by himself, that might be the reason, but it's absolutely flawless. The vocals, the production, everything is on point.
