Guys, I feel really terrible for being done with Rihanna, but I can't support her anymore. I'm so lost, angry, disappointed, confused, and sad right now that it's hard to put into words exactly what I want to explain. I've followed Rihanna since she debuted with Pon de Replay as that shiny island girl with big dreams, and seeing her transform over the past seven years has been magical. Six albums, insane accomplishments, and I couldn't have been more proud. One of my favorite things was that she was able to survive domestic violence and come out of the situation as a stronger individual.
However, we've all noticed over the last few months that she had been acting different. Doing and saying strange things, getting weird tattoos, dying her hair too frequently, etc. I stood by because none of that was worthy of me jumping ship. Now is a different story, though. When rumors first began swirling that the full version of Birthday Cake would feature Chris, I promised myself that I couldn't support her after that. I found that a collaboration like that would completely contradict everything she's ever stood for and everything I've ever known her to be. Even when it was basically a fact to all of us that it would happen, I still held out hope.
Now is a different story, though. Today is her 24th birthday, almost exactly 3 years after the incident. Birthday Cake featured Chris, and the TUTM remix featured her. The things they both said in their respective features were bizarre and really make me think they're back together, as if collaborating again so soon wasn't bad enough. That all aside, this collaboration will completely destroy her career and it also sends out the message that it's okay to return to an abuser, which, as we all know, it's not.
This remix is so much more than just a remix. I can only hope you all don't hate me for jumping ship, but I can't stand by any longer, even if she needs me right now for the backlash she will get (though it is deserved). This remix only proves that she isn't the girl I thought she was. Adieu.

it kinda hurts seeing Rih working with Chris cause I want the best for her. The Cake remix is HOTTTT. I dont think its worth the risk though

I'm sorry but whether she likes it or not she IS a role model. It comes with the territory of what she does. It's a responsibility among all of the privileges and wealth she lives with.
If it's her choice to move on and forgive him then that's okay. In fact it's healthy.
It's entirely different to have him on a remix singing about "I've missed your body" and "remember how you did it"
It's degrading, insulting and tacky. And I don't say that lightly. Everyone who knows me on here knows that I'm very open minded and accepting but I am shocked at her poor judgement here.

Let's be real, Rihanna has never had the same public image as say Katy Perry or Beyonce who are very vanilla and by the book. Since GGGB she's been that bitch who just lives life. I expect a lot of talk show appearances from her when she gets back to the States

I cant stop loving Rihanna you know why, who else would I stan for nobody? Rihanna is the only posters i own, the only female i'd see in concert only girl i'd go bi for, but I can't be a public stan any longer, makes me look bad stanning for a girl who goes back to a guy who abuse the **** outta her and being a horrible role model after having that interview in 2009, she thinks we forgot nobody is gonna forever that era, that whole Rated R was depressing also good but that was a very dark year for her. She isnt herself anymore in fact I think shes becoming more a bitch. and Cake is a horrible song because Chris voice is on it im not listening to that **** anymore, i mean really? DRUNK ON LOVE WOULD OF BEEN A LOT BETTER.
but its your fault you guys wanted full BC and there you got it and it ended up being the worst mistake reason why is was unfinished bc it was'nt suppose to be finished. IVE ALWAYS HATED BIRTHDAY CAKE SINCE DAY 1.

As a victim of domestic abuse, she is such a disgrace. This girl was an inspiration to me and connected and stanned for through that time as I thought she was a strong woman but she is not she's just a publicity *****.

Exactly, Idk what to say. I can't stan for her anymore. All the countless times we defended her on ATRL and off. Blogs, Media and RL people who called her a ***** & ****. She needs help and this Talk That Talk phrase is so poserish and sad. I should've known. I honestly believe my stan peak was during the end of RR. I'm done with her as of right now. She's became such an attention ***** & i feel so sick to my stomach.
