mte, that was one of main reasons for the mess of artpop era, she was insecure and was listening and paying to much attention to what others say instead sticking to her vision which lead to her messing everything up

I actually can't decide which snippet I like the best yet because I adore absolutely everything I'm hearing

I don't want to shove it down anyone's throats or make people feel worse, but if you're not into this album yet (and I must say 30 sec LQ snippets + atrl browsing aren't the best way to decide!) I can only recommend you give it a chance because I'm feeling some PASSION in these songs and that will always ultimately burn through. After the shock, just let the awe sink in kids

Interscope must be the only major label that doesn't understand the concept of lead singles

How can they chose PI Gaga What did y' all think..... From all the great songs on the album chose the most polarizing, ****ing awesome.

It screams, period.

Idk why some of you guys think a lead single has to be an anthem or loud or uptempo.

Million Reasons would've been better lead single, same for Ayo, Joanne, Angel Down, any GREAT track would be a better lead single than a track that is polarizing enough to turn people off. And my problem with PI is that despite being polarizing and stuff, it's also so repetitive and short and lacks... just... idk

Based on what I'm hearing thus far, if were in an Interscope boardroom two months ago I'd probably suggest dropping the album in conjunction with the Dive Bar tour or likewise and no lead single (but still have something serviced to radio upon release). I feel like live performance really makes this material shine through, and so the month of radio interviews in tandem with the single release kind of feels redundant at this point.

I dont mind Million Reasons as the 2nd single..its extremely GP friendly

Perfect Illusion from what we've heard was the best lead single + it's basically the best introduction for the era.

If Interscope chose it, there's a reason. It's not because they're dumb.

Also, not a fan of ballads being lead singles. Unless you're very good at it, and people know you're good at it, it's pretty much an era killer (doubt pop radio would have played / given a chance to MR).

And that's not really something that has people say 'Damn, Gaga's BACK'.

Yess I agree so much ! . And then going by perception on itunes and radios they can chose a lead single on their own and just start playing it on the radio.

I am sorry butl..... Even tho in that case, there weren't many better options on ARTPOP anyway.

PI doesn't say "damn Gaga is back !!! " , it says:

Oh, Gaga is back !?

And MR would've been like " Woah this is Lady Gaga ? " Much better start for an album in which Lady Gaga has reinvented herself and is releasing really different music from her previous albums, while MR would still be safe enough for radio.

every song is just so easy-listening (except for PI)
