You can't make songs thinking if they're gonna smash or not specially with Shakira who makes whatever she feels to make at the momment. What you wanted was some EDM crap that was gonna flop because everyone is tired of it, not even Rihanna has had a dance song in over a year.

I agree. Obnoxious is really the same thought that came to mind. She took a formulaic chorus and utterly failed at making it pleasing to listeners by going all hardcore. Way too abrasive.
