Ki. Exactly. There's a reason why SM is investing in album sales so much this year. It's been stated many times that the total profit of digital sales of a single are not enough to cover the costs of a music video (
!)
Korea's the only market in the world where the subscriptions ($5 a month on melon(right?)) are the main source of the sales. And with the digital sales dropping like crazy in korea (70% in 2012!) labels cannot make money out of single sales when you have to pay songwriters, producer, music video costs, and share the profits with 5-7 members.
I agree that f(x) should aiming 2NE1's place. Hopefully their album sales are good.
