I don't want to perform, I just want to go on and talk about Ellie's album
I understand, but I think that Lily did it firstly and stuff. I would recommend talking to her. But at the same time I also suggest that you should post the article and that if she has something against it she will post it here.
Ellie Goulding on Late Show with David Letterman(I'm not sure if it's taken)
Q: What was the process to write for and produce Animal?
A: I started writing for this album about two years ago, and I had a couple of things happen in my life which had a big effect on what I wrote for the album. It ended up being a cathartic, enlightenment album.
Q: What is your favourite song on the album and why?
A: Lease My Love and Explosions are my favourite. They are hopeful and simple. They describe how I felt.
With Explosions, relationship I was in, a one-sided, intense relationship, which when it ended completely overshadowed the good parts about the relationship. The song describes how I lost myself in the relationship, and how drained of energy I was.
Q: What was it like working on this album as opposed to your previous album?
A: It was very similar in terms of process, but this time around it was much more fun, efficient, relaxed, experimental. And I loved working with Jim (Eliot) and will probably work with him again.
Q: How did your career start?
A: My career in music happened quite accidentally. I made a demo when I was in university which was very basic - me and guitar in the background. It was very amateurish. I put it on My Space and things just kind of took off from there.
Q: Any song you wish you were the one to have recorded?
A: Yesterday by The Beatles, and Rihanna's Diamonds.
Track By Track review:mrpeanut" of 'Animal:
1. Burn -
2. Thinking Of You - Mid-tempo song about missing someone that has already moved on.
3. Dreaming Again - Already released
4. Halcyon - Ellie Goulding repeats 'its gonna be better' symbolising a period time in the past that was happy and peaceful even if it doesn't seem like it.
5. Ain't It Fun (feat. Nicki Minaj) - This song is about showing someone the truth about themselves. They spent their whole life cooped up in a false reality, or closed in, and now that they're in the real world they finally see that everything is not how it was back home; about them.
6. Explosions - This song is about realizing what you need after its gone and you can't obtain it back.
