What an experience. I mean- where do I even begin?
Aphrodite completely blew me away. When I saw that ATL and GOMW were the first two songs my initial thought was that I was gonna get my life at the start and then lose it with the third song. There are a lot of albums like that, where the album starts off with great singles and then just kinda jumps into fillers. NOT THE CASE. Lord, I was blown away. The entire album is just a pop-dance masterpiece. It was a very consistent and cohesive album- it never lost it's cool and kept me engaged and entertained until the very end. All the songs were unique in their own way and stood out. A lot of the times I can only remember stand-out tracks but honestly, I feel like every track here was a stand-out track.
To me, Illusion was the weakest track and Looking for an Angel, Cupid Boy, GOMW, ATL, Too Much and Closer were the strongest; but like I said, they were
all terrific songs. I love that they are all able to stand on their own, yet still were able to make an extremely cohesive and driven album.
Next up: X, followed by Light Years
