The next 8 reviews would have to average about 50 for it to fall into the yellow. So that's highly unlikely.

This is true.

I gotta agree with this. My main gripe with Gaga these last few years. She's so much better than this.

Drowned In Sound - Lady Gaga, ARTPOP Review
So what happens now, Gaga? Will you end up repeating the earlier hits to depleting crowds, churning out ever duller, largely neglected records, sitting alone in your spooky mansion, filling it with expensive real-life skellingtons while pickling your liver with absinthe? Will you wind up collaborating with Mrs Nickelback? Why not get out while you can, when you still have something resembling a strange form of dignity? Your options are many. Here are two:
a) Shun the fickle craving to become (and remain) the biggest popstar on the planet. Rise above it to leave Cyrus, Perry, and Minaj fighting among themselves (probably in their bikinis, in a paddling pool full of mud, as the drooling patriarchy looks on, fiddling with themselves). Become an actual artist. Go properly, fully weird. Take a leaf out of the unorthodox ex-popstar book of Scott Walker or David Sylvian. Aspire to grace the cover of The Wire, not Vanity Fair. Aim not for ephemeral pop notoriety but artistic immortality. You might have to execute your entourage and those who misguidingly advise you to refrain from further indulging your penchant for inaccessible free jazz but it’ll be much more fulfilling, I assure you.
b) Become an actual, actual artist. You know, like what Captain Beefheart did.
RATING: 5/10

This whole review made me laugh so hard, not that I find it stupid, but it's exactly how I review things when I dislike or hate a certain song or album. This review speaks nothing but the truth, but I still would've given it a 6.0-ish. It still has some bops and stellar production on it, but overall it's pretty mediocre yeah. The Fame Monster and even Born This Way were more 'ARTPOP' than this album itself which is really sad and quite scary. Gaga is completely blinded by her hardcore fans which annoys the **** out of me. It's OK to love them, but not to see them as holy human beings compared to the general public. Most of them are like evil cretins in the pits of hell if you ask me. I don't think she's done, but she seriously needs to drop this 'Goddess of Love' act and I don't mean her current look and act. She needs to really leave the spotlight and come back with something she's inspired by on her own. Not by her ****ing fans. That's all.
Also, "YAAAAAAAAAAAASSSS" at him mentioning Captain Beefheart at the end.

Gaga was favoured back then, so of course the EP would score higher. The era as a whole is overrated.
Even Gaga's media peak took place at the end of 2010, when the EP was done and dusted.

A lot of these reviews are embarrassing.

Anywayz, when you call your album "ARTPOP", you're basically begging to get dragged. Though the critics would drag her anyway since it's cool to hate on her now. And truthfully, the album isn't as strong as it should be after an underperforming era.

If you are an Economics student you probably should've known that graphs are made to simplify and emphasize on data so they're easily interpreted. And why is it wrong to have space between the numbers? It's called an interval and it's supposed to exist.
Talk about basic and easy Mathematics.

On top of the fact that the EP was really good, also.
Even Pitchfork (who does not care for this kind of pop) almost gave her an 8 for that. They put "Telephone" in their Top Tracks of the Year list.

I'm surprised. I haven't even listened to the full album yet tbh, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt to score higher than this.
Let me go listen to it, because NOW I'm curious.
(Ok, maybe not right away. Tomorrow I guess.)

I guess this is what happens when you parade around and not wanting to let any of it speak for itself. I mean what were you all expecting when she called her album ARTPOP.
The excuses I'm reading are interesting though.

Has Drowned in Sound been counted yet or is that just going to knock her score lower?
