I've been really impressed with them this year, so I'm checking out the album today!
Hope they get their first UK #1, but even a #2 would be great! It'd be their highest charting, so it's definitely a solid achievement, especially up against Elvis and The Beatles. Good luck to them
Just listened to the album in full. Goin by the last couple of pages i think i'm in the minority in my views but here goes anyways ...
Hair is hands down the best song on the album. A sassy uptempo is LM at their best. Fuse that attitude with harmonized vocals, u get the magic that is Black magic. Grown & Weird people are ok too but they're basically just album tracks.
It seems like theres some pre-requisite when it comes to pop female artists to have a few sappy love & break-up ballads on their albums. Ive seen everyone here praise SLS but its just meh to me n Mr Derulo relegates all the way to unlistenable status. I only enjoy their ballads when their harmonies shine - the end, the beginning and best of all, lightning. Lightning is a ballad done right. Most of their ballads are just run of the mill. Uptempos is where their characters shine.
Unlike most of yall, im not crazy about OMG. the chorus is so childish. Does anyone even still say omigosh unless in a parody? If they had gone full-on dancehall with the production, id take to it.
In general 2nd half incl deluxe tracks better than top half. Salute is a better an album overall.

Was nervous to listen to it, I'm always nervous when my faves release new stuff. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The 2nd half is infinitely better than the first, though.
