Part of me still wants to do a top 50, but I've also thought about the possibility of keeping the Blokk alive. I've thought about doing the top 50 on an actual website while keeping the Blokk alive here. I did say that there just wasn't very much good new rock music out there, but I think the problem was that I wasn't willing to look harder to find that good new music. I've found plenty of songs recently that I could debut on the Blokk over the next couple of weeks.

The possibility of doing a top 50 is still there, but I came to the realization that the only problem was me not going out and looking for more new music. Once I did, I found a LOT of great new rock music, hence why the Blokk is now a top 30 instead of a top 20.

You countdown just seems to come and go as you please. Of course, I like everything here. I might reorganize the top a bit as I'd have The Joy Formidable and My Morning Jacket a #1 and #2 but there is really nothing wrong with any selection on the entire countdown.

Oh, don't look so surprised. You knew this would happen sooner or later.

Okay, first things first: I've decided to come up with a new look for the Blokk. It could be another situation where I'm tinkering with the look every week, but I really like this look, even if the execution might seem clunky to some. Also note that the album covers for the top five songs are now no longer part of the layout. Remember, I'm tinkering and messing with the layout to determine what would be the best course of action. If you have any suggestions or comments on the layout, please, LET ME KNOW. I am always willing to listen to ideas and constructive criticism.

Also, I've decided to only post the top 20 in chart form. If you want to see songs 21-30, just click on the tag below the Blokk.

Anywho, with all of this change, it's refreshing to note that the music itself is still as Rokk as ever. Since all of you last joined me on this crazy ride, Ladytron took #1 away from Korn and were there last week, its third week at the top. But In Flames has emerged as a sudden contender for the top spot. Did Ladytron hold on? I guess you'll just have to look below to find out!

Partly due to creative juices flowing and partly due to otherwise laziness on my part, I have decided to skip the normal Blokk layout for a week. In its place is the second ever video edition of the Blokk...with a slight twist. You see, not everyone will be bothered to watch this video, so, in the interest of fairness, I am also posting the top 30 songs (separated from 30-21 and 20-1, of course) in simplified form without stats (other than weeks at #1 for the #1 song). I do hope that you will watch the actual video, however. I certainly put more work into THIS video than I did the last one.
