Hillary is the safe choice to the GP. Trump's too much of a wildcard.

They're trying to act as if Hillary is purely evil or something like republicans. I think these people are too young to understand Hillary IS liberal, she's just from a previous era where going too far to the left killed your career. And THAT'S my issue with Hillary. She doesn't realize it's not the 90's anymore. She doesn't have to be AS centrist.

I hate to keep saying it, but so much of this could have been avoided with a more liberal VP pick.

edit: And yes, I know some people still wouldn't have voted for Hillary and would still be doing this but those people are ****ing nuts either way.

I actually agree with most of this even though I was warming up to Kaine a little bit. He added essentially nothing to the ticket for Clinton and her "safe" pick is now looking more problematic for her. She should have chosen a known Democratic figure who is seen as to the left of her.

I like Kaine, he and Hillary go perfectly together, but it wasn't the right pick for this environment.

Agreed. This is particularly true when all Clinton likely needs to get over the hump is some assurance than a high percentage of the Sanders supporters will show up for her in November.

I agree. I'm not really worried about a convention bump, which is what always happens. Mondale lead Reagan at one point after the dem convention and we saw what happened there.

I'd wait until after the first debate to start panicking.

But it's worrying that after throwing everything at him, Trump can even be this close. It really shows how divided the country is politically and ideologically.
