It's just left over hype from Adele's streamrolling of the competition last year, that's all. You've gotta remember that thousands of people from across the music industry all vote for who will become the nominees, and most of them will see Adele and think she deserves it based on past achievements regardless of song quality. The actual big important people who vote for the winners will never vote Adele to win again with a live song. I bet back in 2009 everyone was convinced Beyonce's live recording of Halo would come for the Grammy after her success in 2008. Katy's only competition is Kelly this year, but I'm pretty sure Kelly will clinch it.
This year is Katys best chance so far though.
If I'm excited about these irrelevant things I just don't know how I'm gonna feel when the new album comes. 
That first one is a complete mess. 
Slaying on the others tho.
