I thought female hip hop was going to rise within the next three years, but Nicki suffered a decline (though she can always redeem herself), Iggy and Azealia still haven't put out albums, Angel Haze won't go anywhere, etc.

Yes, 100%. But in Scandal defense, the only really good character/actor is Kerry Washington imo, everybody else seems so bland compared to her. Here you have of course King Frank, but her wife and almost everybody else >>>

Also, 10-13 episode series are always better than 20+ episodes per season series imo, when the seasons are longer it's just inevitable to lose a little bit the interest.
