It's only been day one except a few artist nobody promote their singles within a few days, I think it took the Navy 2 months before getting a live performance of Diamonds
In my opinion the promotion will start kicking in February which is smart because if they would start now it would simply be knocked down by the Grammy performances. Jay Brown is probably going to force 1-2 performance on them, he obviously wants Shakira help Rihanna be bigger in SA and make Shakira bigger in the US. If this song smash it's win win.
This makes sense. Lets trust in the good sis Jay because he has done a great job with Rihanna's singles.
You all do too much always. A song shooting to the top of the chart and staying there for a week at the very least is not something that happens upon every single release. Sometimes it takes a minute for a song to catch on, to become a hit, especially in Shakira's case because as we all know American consumers and especially radio haven't given her the proper time of day since her debut english speaking record over 10 years ago. If this song will succeed it will take a second, even with Rihanna as a feature. Rihanna as a feature does not always guarantee success, Rihanna herself doesn't always guarantee success while we're at it. Shes a hit making machine but not every one of her singles that come out the gate go straight to the top. Unless you've all forgotten lol
