-6 new lots to play with and do what you please
-New vacation mechanics- pay for days off, pay up front to rent lots, live off-lot for a rental fee, stuff like that.
-Two new maps to explore
-New hair (Short and Long for guys, 5 for girls...Once again, the guys get absolutely shafted. Getting tired of that, /u/simgurusparks ! I can't remember what your simguru position is, but pass along the message!)
-New clothes (Noticed at least 8 shoes for guys, 5 or so tops, 5 bottoms, and I'm sure more than that for the girls but I didnt look)
-New traits, meaning new gameplay
-A new skill (and possibly collectibles?), Herbalist, and new craftables (potions)
-New interactions (Stargazing, horseshoes, camping stuff at the fire, etc)
This is not an expansion pack, but it's not a stuff pack, either. It really is a blend. Ultimately I'd say it seems pretty worth it. Another neighborhood is always good (though I don't think you can actually LIVE there, you have to rent, but we'll see in the coming days how that works- hopefully you can rent forever), and it comes with a lot of objects. Traits, a skill, new usable objects with new interactions and animations, it's pretty hefty for 20 bucks!
The new pack is great for the price! The worlds are stunning! Only thing annoying me is that there's a glitch with the tents where if you use them on Public Space they disappear (occasionally).
Using them on your lot is fine
Also, this isn't just Camping. There's Vacation Homes as well. It's basically Bon Voyage but with way better graphics.
If you have $20 spare, there's heaps in this pack (more than some Sims 3 $40 Expansions).
im so annoyed at the worlds though and the fact that we cant place lots wherever we want sigh
At the same time though, the detail around the lots is amazing. Being able to place them wherever we want also means that the worlds can't be designed with more than just terrain and a few decor objects.
The worlds in The Sims 4 may not be open, but they are extremely detailed and if we were able to place lots wherever that detail would be lost because it would be replaced with just grass and trees etc (aka The Sims 2 and The Sims 3)
Anybody ever play a Sim City game? Are they any good?
I like them more than The Sims. You basically build an entire city and control and maintain it. It's different than Sims but if you like building things you'll probably love it. SimCity 4 is the best; the new one is a joke (even though it does a couple things better).

SimCity Societies is amazing too.
SimCity 4 is probably the best, for a new gamer, remember it uses a Sims 1 kind of engine, so it's probably a bit too old to pick up and be "wowed" by it.
I would recommend 2013 (it's awesome once you give it a chance) or Societies, and if you like that, then go to SimCity 4.
