Idk about that... Taeyang solo maybe, but then again, in the context of the US market he'd just be Usher with a Korean accent. Nothing new and I doubt anyone would care.

I could see Jay Park having moderate success and being one of the those flash-in-the-pan R&B/Pop male artists like Jay Sean that have one hit and then disappear.

That's it though. None of the boybands could make it here. Styling and culture is too different from what we're used to.

I honestly think looks will play a big factor in KPop being accepted in the US or the international market. Fashion and looks are what make them stand out more than anything.

One Direction would do well because of the same tween girls who made Justin Bieber famous. Boybands need tween girls to sustain their careers. Asian boybands... well, I don't see little white girls losing their minds over them by the masses. Not in a racist way or anything. Asian boys just don't look attractive by American standards I guess, because they've never been portrayed as dreamy heartthrobs in our media. Only people who were already K-Pop fans to begin with would use.

And I think you're totally right about the second part. As soon as a K-Pop act makes it BIG in the States, they are going to start flooding in at an unprecedented rate.

Agreed, It sure ain't gonna be easy.

It will take time and certain groups to break those barriers, but I've noticed that the majority of KPop fans are girls, and a lot of them are actually white. I'm sure if it becomes a trend, tween girls will be the first to hop onto the bandwagon.
