They had this school-run party at the town hall that was semi-interesting, and they got a few highschoolers to come and "pump it up" (it was the funniest thing hearing our 60-year-old principal say that ), but then it got boring with some ridiculous 8th grade drama, so 20 of us left the place to someone's house where it was a bit more fun. However, a few kids in our school try WAY too hard to grow up and act mature and ****. One dumbass broke a cabinet door to get to liquor. Others drank it and acted wasted.
I found out later from the person who lived there that it was nonalcoholic drinks (alcohol-free beer, and grape juice in wine bottles), and I was SCREAMING when they told me.
But seriously, it's 8th grade. We just got out of it. Drinking and trying to act adult...?
