With a new peak on the Hot 100 and an Ellen performance (and potential video this week), it could shoot into the top 10. I really want this to hit number-one, or at least become one of her signature songs. 21 changed my life, and I never thought she'd be able to write anything that would resonate with me the way "Someone Like You" or "Rolling in the Deep" did. But the moment I heard this, I knew this song was going to be the one. "When We Were Young" PERFECTLY describes my situation with my best friend. It's like my life in a song. It's such an important song for me and it would be break my heart to see it flop. It deserves better.

Does Ellen really have that much of an effect on songs? I would love for this song to peak inside the top 10 hit so it wouldn't be seen as a complete 'failure'. I felt like she had a missed opportunity.

Usually it doesn't but I think there has been some occasions where songs got a nice boost from it
